JIU’s founder, Glenn R. Jones, passed away on July 7, 2015 at the age of 85. Mr. Jones was a pioneer in online and distance learning who devoted much of his life to his passionate belief that world-class education should be available to everyone, everywhere. In its pursuit of excellence, JIU became the first regionally accredited, fully online university ever.
In recognition of Mr. Jones’s military service, entrepreneurial spirit, and extensive contributions to the fields of education and business, Trident University International renamed its College of Business Administration “The Glenn R. Jones College of Business Administration” on July 24, 2015.
“We are proud to rename our college of business after Glenn R. Jones. Under his leadership, Jones International University has made a tremendous impact on the educational landscape – particularly in online and distance learning,”
