DENVER, COLORADO (February 9, 2011)—Jones International University® (JIU®), the first fully online accredited* university, announced today that Richard Cox, Jr. has been appointed the Senior Vice Chancellor of Student Services and Support. Reporting directly to Chairman and CEO Glenn R. Jones, Cox will work closely with the university’s admissions counselors and student retention teams to further enhance the student experience.
"I am pleased to appoint someone of Cox’s caliber to the JIU executive team," said Mr. Jones. "JIU concentrates on a unique, student-centered approach to learning and Cox’s experience will allow us to enhance that experience.”
Cox joins Jones International University following his tenure at Orbitz Worldwide, the online travel company, where he served as the Vice President of Customer Experience since 2005. He supervised teams with specific responsibility for Workforce Management, Vendor Management, Customer Care and Quality Assurance, ensuring 24/7 call center support in the U.S., Philippines, Guatemala, Mexico and India facilities.

Richard has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration/Management from Liberty University in Virginia and a MBA from Kennesaw State University in Georgia.
