JIU expands Troop to Teachers relationship

(JIU®) has joined the Western States Certification Consortium (WSCC), an organization of universities offering education toward teacher licensure. The WSCC is specifically geared to American military personnel who plan to transition into careers as elementary and secondary school teachers.

David E. Leasure Succeeds Robert Golightly
DENVER (July 11, 2005)-Glenn R. Jones, chancellor and CEO of Jones International University® (JIU®)-which received the first accreditation in the United States of a completely virtual institution-has announced the appointment of David E. Leasure, Ph.D., as president of the university. Dr. Leasure has been serving as JIU's vice president of academic affairs, and fills the vacancy created by the resignation of former President Robert Golightly.
