Seasons are changing and JIU has a few exciting faculty changes to announce as well. We are pleased to announce the following promotions in Academic Affairs:
Dr. William Loendorf has been promoted to the position of Dean of the School of Business. William has a most impressive background, with an undergraduate degree in engineering, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration. He has been with JIU for about six months, and has taught, functioned as Chair, and taken a particular interest and leadership in the assessment of student learning. We’re fortunate to have William as part of our strong academic affairs team.
Austin Nielson has been promoted to the position of Manager of Clinical Practice and Licensure Support within the School of Education. Austin, whose MBA is from JIU, has previously worked as a Transcript evaluator, and brings that skill base and ability to partner to the position. I’m pleased to welcome Austin into this important role, and know he will do an excellent job in continuing to improve services to students.
Dr. Danette Lance has been appointed to the position of Dean of Doctoral Programs and Faculty development. Danette has done an excellent job as Dean of the School of Business and I have great confidence in her ability to effectively lead both the continuing development of doctoral degrees along and our important efforts with the Society of Scholars.
Dr. Roy Sutton will be transitioning over the next several months to a full-time faculty member in the Doctoral programs in the School of Education in accordance with his wishes. We appreciate all of the dedication and time spent with the doctoral programs.
Congratulations to all on their new positions within the University.
