Overview

In this course, you will begin the process of defining and outlining your statement of the research problem and project hypotheses. Using your completed draft of your review of literature (Chapter 2 in your DBA Project Proposal), you should now be able to draw from the knowledge gained in the review of literature to refine your research problem based upon what you found in your literature review.

You will learn and apply principles of peer review and the process of constructive feedback for improvement in the research process. This will provide a context for the eventual dissertation review by your DBA project committee members.

Learning Outcomes

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Identify successful proposal strategies based upon the content analysis of representative doctoral dissertations.
  • Create a detailed outlined for Chapter 1 of the DBA Project Proposal.
  • Identify model(s) of research essay chapters from dissertations in your research topic area.
  • Demonstrate the ability to integrate peer review substantive feedback into the second draft of their Chapter 1 detailed outline.
