Overview
Engaging candidates in the study and application of statistical and analytical techniques used in decision-making, this course provides candidates with expertise in using statistical analysis methods and tools. Topics covered in the course include:
- Describing data
- Probability
- Continuous data
- Interval estimates on the data-confidence intervals
- Estimation and hypothesis testing on population means
The course project, Presentation: Applying Descriptive and Inferential Statistical Techniques, is a comprehensive analysis of a project data set and an accompanying written report. The components of the project are developed over the length of the course and include dataset selection, data analysis and testing, and results interpretation.
