Overview

Retirement planning relates to the topics of retirement planning, retirement plans and employee benefits from the viewpoints of the employee, employer and the self-employed person. It covers both conceptual and practical issues.

Course Learning Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of client needs analysis
  • Demonstrate how to determine postretirement monetary needs
  • Demonstrate how to determine sources of postretirement income
  • Evaluate all the options for investing for retirement
  • Analyze tax deferred and non-deferred retirement plans
