Admission Requirements

Here is a list of the admission requirements:
- Students are required to read academic texts in English and must meet the minimum English language proficiency requirement as outlined below.
The Admissions Committee typically decides on applications in the same day that all materials become available. Students must then take at least one course within two offering periods of admission.
English Language Proficiency
Students must be able to read academic texts in English. While all online content and supplemental readings are in English, students may choose whether they prefer to submit course assignments in English or Spanish.
Applicant must demonstrate English language reading proficiency by providing one of the following:
- Passing score on an exam given by la Universidad del Pacífico. Contact our admissions representative for more information on when the exam will be given.
- Evidence of meeting one of the following minimum scores on the reading portion of the TOEFL exam: at least 56 on the paper-based TOEFL, at least 22 on the computer-based TOEFL, or at least 21 on the new Internet-based TOEFL.
- A certificate indicating successful completion of an intermediate English as a Second Language (ESL) course.
- Evidence of having successfully completed two consecutive years of secondary education or higher in which the language of instruction was English.
- Evidence of having completed 3 semester hours, with at least a C (70%) average, at a post-secondary institution at which English was the language of instruction.
