JIU is proud to offer all military personnel (active, retired, honorably discharged and reserve) and their dependents a 20 percent tuition scholarship toward all new course registrations processed by December 31, 2008.
In addition, we offer a Military Undergraduate Scholarship with tuition set at $750 per three-credit course for all active, retired, honorarably discharged and reserve military personnel and their dependents.

In addition to our military scholarship benefits, tuition assistance is available to eligible family members of U.S. service personnel who have been accepted to JIU. As an accredited educational provider, JIU supports both the Troops to Teachers and the Spouses to Teachers programs for students who want to transition into the classroom. Our exceptional School of Education provides a variety of graduate degree programs and licensure for armed forces personnel and their families to advance their careers as K-12 teachers.
