Amy Glatt graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and a Certificate in Deaf Studies and American Sign Language. Prior to joining JIU, Amy worked as an Independent Living Program Manager for the Center for People with Disabilities in Boulder, Colorado, where she supported individuals with disabilities gain independent living and self-advocacy skills.

Amy is passionate about ensuring equal rights and opportunity in education and employment for people with disabilities. She serves as a Commissioner to the Denver Commission for People with Disabilities, is a network member of the Rocky Mountain Disability Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) and is a professional member of the Association of Higher Education and Disability (AHEAD). In addition, Amy is currently working towards her ADA Coordinator Certificate through the University of Missouri and Great Plains DBTAC. Amy enjoys volunteering as a reader for the blind.

As Coordinator of Disability Services and Student Affairs at JIU, Amy processes all requests for accommodation services for JIU students with disabilities, and coordinates related services and support to the Office of Student Affairs, and Career and Alumni Services.
