Andrew A. Wichern
Andrew A. Wichern joined Jones International, Ltd. in 2009. Reporting directly to the President, Mr. Wichern is the General Counsel serving as the chief legal officer of the University where he leads the department and oversees all aspects of the University’s legal, governmental and corporate affairs.
Before joining Jones International, Ltd., Mr. Wichern was a lawyer at the international law firm of Morrison & Foerster LLP and the regional firm of Messner and Reeves, LLC, having practiced in their respective Denver offices. During his tenure, he specialized in mergers and acquisitions and provided general counsel to public and private companies.
Previously, Mr. Wichern worked in Silicon Valley serving in leadership positions within the services operations of venture-backed software companies Opsware, Inc. (formerly Loudcloud, acquired by HP) and Crossworlds Software, Inc. (acquired by IBM) from early stage to post initial public offering. He began his career with Ernst & Young where he worked primarily in Europe within E&Y’s global client consulting practice.
Mr. Wichern holds a JD degree from Northwestern University School of Law, a MS in Management Information Systems from the Mays School of Business at Texas A&M University and a BBA in Accounting from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. Mr. Wichern became a licensed CPA in 1997 and he is a member of the American and Colorado Bar Associations. He is involved with charitable organizations located in Denver where he lives with his wife, Joanne.
