Tyler O’Gara is the Coordinator of the School of Education. He helps candidates locate and formalize field placement opportunities. He also works with the School of Education staff to develop and implement policies and initiatives related to licensure, curriculum, accreditation requirements and education research. Tyler values the opportunity to help School of Education candidates reach their professional goals.
Before joining JIU, Tyler worked in corporate communications at Raytheon Company while completing his MBA at the University of Denver. He'd earlier earned a BA in International Business from the University of Denver.
Tyler is from Austin, Texas, but has lived in Colorado since 2003. He enjoys a wide variety of mountain sports, in addition to cooking, reading, film and music.
