Barbara K. McKenzie

Dr. Barbara McKenzie has taught undergraduate and graduate level media and instructional technology classes at the university level the past 25 years. She was a former Department Chair and a full Professor at the University of West Georgia for 21 years and has served as an instructional designer and instructor for online courses for business and industry for over 15 years.

She has been recognized by the National Association of Professional Women the past three years for her excellence and dedication to the profession. She also was given the title Professor Emeritus in Media and Instructional Technology at the University of West Georgia for her contributions to the development of the department and providing the leadership in placing the programs online. At the present time, Dr. McKenzie is a faculty member and the Curriculum Director for the School of Business and Technology Management at Northcentral University. In addition, she works as an adjunct professor in Technology Education for the University of Arizona South and the University of West Georgia.

Dr. McKenzie is well published in the Technology and Teacher Education Annual and E-Learning Proceedings. Her areas of interest are distance mentoring, new and emerging technologies and integrating technology into the curriculum.
