Recipient of the 2006 Joseph A. Sprague Memorial Award, the highest honor awarded by the National Press Photographers Association

Bob Brandon is recognized as one of the leading videographers in the broadcast industry. He is the co-recipient of a National Emmy for his work on the CBS News broadcast 48 Hours. Bob helped develop the "look" of the first 48 Hours programs and pioneer the use of wide-angle lenses and wireless audio links between the camera and sound systems for documentary use.

The National Press Photographers Association honored Bob twice by naming him Photographer of the Year. The association also presented him with the Cliff Edom award for his work in continuing education for working photographers. Bob has won more than 30 major national awards for his work. He helped design the "look" of the popular Animal Planet series "Emergency Vets" and served as Director of Photography on the series for its first two years. His Director of Photography credits include Chevy Trucks, US Homes, Safeway Stores, Liberty Bank, Monday Night Football, Infinity of Denver, Frigidaire, and Parade of Homes.

In December, 2009, Mr. Brandon passed away. KDVR in Denver, Colorado did a feature story about Mr. Brandon's life and struggle with kidney failure and every-other-day dialysis. His colleagues in the news industry also produced a memorial video celebrating his life and accomplishments. He was 63 years old.
