Ellen Bennett Steiner, PhD

Dr. Ellen Bennett Steiner has been a Professor of Education Administration at the University of Denver for the past 4 years. In addition, she has taught adjunct courses for the past ten years at the graduate level. Ellen has supervised numerous dissertations in the K-12 arena and has also taught K-8 in a private school. Dr. Steiner has also held multiple positions at Sun Microsystems including Market Research Manager, Engineering Excellence Program Manager and Knowledge Manager. In these positions, Dr. Steiner was responsible for the implementation of an automated competency management program; developing curricula and learning paths; creating and managing educational partnerships and developing new knowledge-management initiatives to improve the leverage of the organization's intellectual capital.

Research interests: educational technology; human capital management; measuring return on investment in educational programs; systems thinking in education.
