Erin Meyer served as the Doctoral Education Librarian with Jones International University from 2006 to 2008. She came to Jones with a background in teaching and librarianship and has worked in as a reference and instruction in academic and public libraries and as a research assistant at the Dictionary of American Regional English (DARE). She recently taught graduate courses LIS 620: Children’s Literature and LIS 847: Library Services to Underserved Populations and Nontraditional Groups at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW).
She has completed her doctoral coursework in Library and Information Studies at UW, with a minor in the School of Education. Her research interests are research methods and library services to youth and underserved populations. Her dissertation work is on library services to African Americans in the segregated South through the programs of the Julius Rosenwald Philanthropic Fund.
