Dr. Errin Heyman founded West Coast University's (in Southern California) Center for Excellence in Learning, Teaching and Assessment (CELTA), where, as the Director, she led the charge to establish a sustainable culture of assessment that facilitates achievement of student learning outcomes. She works closely with faculty to help develop instructional excellence. Prior to the establishment of CELTA, Errin was the Director of Online Instruction and helped build the first online presence for the University. Before coming to WCU, she spent nearly 10 years with Pearson eCollege, a Learning Management System company in Denver, Colorado, primarily working with instructors to develop online/distance education pedagogy. She holds a Doctorate in Education, Higher Education Leadership/Curriculum and Instruction and a Master's in Teaching of Writing. She has taught English at the college level, both face-to-face and online. Errin is a dedicated and passionate educator, working to build innovative ways to help students continually meet, and exceed, learning expectations.
Her other interests include medieval literature and history and research regarding brain function and learning. She enjoys writing, music, and yoga.
