Gena Feury

Ms. Gena Feury has a 15-year career in education, including experience teaching primary and secondary grade levels, serving as a regional consultant for Just Read, Florida! and as a principal consultant for the Colorado Department of Education. She has supported school districts and state level leadership in implementing the requirements of No Child Left Behind in reading education, and served as the PreK-12 reading and writing content specialist for the state of Colorado. Ms. Feury was responsible for the strategic planning, development, technology management and leadership of all activities associated with PreK-12 teaching and learning initiatives to develop quality reading and writing instruction in Title I, Early Childhood Education, gifted and talented, English language acquisition and special education programs. Ms. Feury has focused research and development in areas of curriculum, instructional best practices and resources, 21st Century learning, intentional design strategic school planning, literacy development best practices, building teacher leadership and local demographic trend analysis. She has conducted program reviews for higher education teacher preparation programs.
