Geoff Humphrey

Geoff joined Jones International University in December 2006. As an instructional design manager working across curricula, Geoff collaborates with content experts, faculty, and Academic Affairs to design and develop courses for JIU. He cites the University’s course design model and the collaborative nature of the instructional design process as the essential aspects in setting JIU apart from other online universities.

Prior to joining JIU, Geoff spent five years in the corporate training world as Training Manager for Metrolist, Inc., the metro-Denver real estate multiple listing service (MLS). While there, he managed a staff of fourteen instructors and created, maintained and expanded a curriculum that included sixteen online and instructor-led courses.

Geoff began his career as a secondary social studies teacher in Englewood, Colorado, spending six years at the same high school that specialized in assisting at-risk students in completing their high school education.

Outside of JIU, Geoff is an accomplished web designer and programmer authoring two pieces of open-source software for use in the homebrewing community – of which he is an active member. Additionally, he maintains a portfolio of websites built for various companies, organizations and industries.
