Hank Payne
Dr. Payne has served as the Director of Training and Education for the US Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) for the past 11 years. As such, he is responsible for the planning, programming, administration and policy setting for all internal and external training programs. Prior to going to OSHA, he was the Director of Distance Learning for the Federal Aviation Administration for 8 years. He also served 13 years with the US Army as a civilian training developer, trainer and long range planner for Army training programs. He has taught public speaking and technical writing for Park College and was an Instructor in Education and the Director of Media Services at Oklahoma City University, where he taught undergraduate Education courses.
Dr. Payne is widely published in such journal as Government Video Magazine, ED Journal andTeleconference Magazine. He has contributed articles to three books: Distance Training (1998), Interactive Distance Learning Exercises that Really Work (1999) and The 2000/2001 ASTD Distance Learning Yearbook(2000).
