Jacques L. Bonenfant is an associate professor of Education /Applied Linguistics and the ESOL Coordinator at Florida Memorial University, a position he has held for the past 10 years. Previously, he was a faculty member of Reading and Literacy at Walden University from 2000-2005 and an adjunct professor of ESOL & Reading at Miami-Dade College from 1996- 2003. He has taught TESOL courses to undergraduate and graduate students at Nova Southeastern University and Union Institute University for over ten years. He was the recipient of the professor of the year award at Florida Memorial University in 2003. From 1991- 2006, he has served as an ESOL teacher, an ESOL coordinator and an ESOL grade chairperson at West Hollywood Elementary, Frederick Douglass Elementary, Sunrise Middle, and Norland Senior High.

 

Jacques is published in Library of Congress and Multicultural Magazine. He has published four poetry books: Mes Premiers Essais (1986), Encore Une Fois (1987), Mes Pleurs (1994) and Le Berceau Poétiques (1996), and one novel: La Campagne Manquée (1987)  and various journal articles.
