Laura Schaub worked at the University of Oklahoma, serving as the executive director of the Oklahoma Interscholastic Press Association and as an instructor of news communication courses such as typography, graphic design, photography, and desktop publishing.

Preceding her tenure at the University of Oklahoma, Schaub served as a journalism teacher and later as the Director of Public Information for Sand Springs Public Schools in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. She is a Columbia Scholastic Press Association (CSPA) Gold Key recipient, past Oklahoma Journalism Teacher of the Year, recipient of the Col. Joseph M. Murphy Award from CSPA and The New York Times for outstanding service to scholastic journalism, the beneficiary of the James F. Paschal Award for service as a state scholastic press association director, and recipient of the 2004 CSPA Charles R. O’Malley Award for excellence in teaching journalism.

Schaub recently joined Jostens as the Northwest Creative Accounts Manager, serving in the yearbook division.
