Maria del Rosario Sanchez Patino
Dr. Sanchez-Patino is a Venezuelan-born teacher who has worked at Jones International University as faculty member and course designer since 2002. She is also the founder and CEO of SQ Associates, a consultant firm that focuses on teacher development programs.
Dr. Sanchez-Patino has taught for thirty years from elementary to post-graduate level; however,, her main passion has been teacher education to which she has devoted a significant part of her life. In that area, she has taught research and methodology courses at Instituto Pedagogico de Caracas as well as mentored graduate students to earn their master and doctoral degrees. Dr. Sanchez-Patino also has been an external examiner for universities like Universidad Simon Bolivar and Universidad Pedagogica, and consulting editor of publications in education research. She was Academic Dean of Francisco de Miranda Community College for five years.
At this moment, she is developing a program to help Panamanian teachers become change agents in order to improve that country’s elementary and high school education.
