Ms. Sabine Amend has served as Jones International University faculty for MBA programs since 2002, facilitating courses with a focus on international business, intercultural management and entrepreneurship. She is also a JIU content expert and course author for these subject areas.
Ms. Amend’s broad international business background includes five international relocations and business experience with people from more than 70 countries. She has led a successful international consulting company since 1998, and is currently developing a second venture which will focus on building adaptive minds through integrating somatic perspectives and information from neuroscience.

Professional Experience:

Founder of Kultur & Management, Inc., a consulting firm with focus on international human and organization development. Prior, her business career in Germany included management of international training and consulting department as well as working for an industry association which focused on EU-level and German lobbying. She also lived and worked in the PR China and the UK for extended periods of time before relocating to the US.

Scholarship and Research Efforts:

Publications are included in the SIETAR Congress proceedings in the years 2000 (Brussels) and 2006 (France), and in different trade publications. Her current research interest is at the intersection of adult learning, embodiment/somatic learning and neuroscience in the context of (business) organizations and leadership. She has been invited to contribute a chapter on Intercultural Learning: An Embodied Perspective for a Handbook on Strategies for Global Diversity Management (publication due end 2011).
