Dr. Mandell is currently a faculty member and part- time instructional designer for Jones International University since the summer of 2007. Prior to Jones International University, she taught K-12 students both mathematics and technology for the last twenty-one years. Dr. Mandell has taught high school math for 12 years, middle school for 8 years, and technology for two years (math and technology were taught simultaneously). During that time, she has designed curriculum for both subject areas, initiated and developed staff development programs for technology integration, integrated technology throughout a variety of disciplines, and has served as technology coordinator.
Dr. Mandell has been trained in International Baccalaureate (IB), both the Primary Years Program (PYP) and the Middle Years Program (MYP). She has been recognized in Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers and has published an article regarding tips for technology integration in a peer-reviewed professional journal.
