Tim Price, PhD

Dr. Price earned his PhD in Finance at the University of South Florida in 1994.  His educational background includes an MBA in Finance from the same university and a BS in Accounting and Management from Pennsylvania State University. His professional activities include: The American Association of Individual Investors, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Financial Management Association and Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Dr. Price’s extensive professional career began in 1980 as a staff and senior account with Arthur Andersen & Company in Pittsburgh, Pa., where he assisted and supervised audit engagements in the manufacturing, banking and health care industries.  He has since been an audit/consulting manager at Ernst & Young in Pittsburgh and The Hospital Corporation of America in Clearwater, Florida. 

Currently he owns Andover Price Properties, Inc. a real estate brokerage/property management firm in Clearwater, Florida. His university career began in 1988 at the University of South Florida where he was a Graduate Assistant and Instructor in Accounting and Finance. He then moved on to St. Petersburg College in Seminole Florida, where he is currently an Online instructor in Accounting, Computer Information Systems, Economics and Finance. Dr. Price continues to teach at St. Petersburg College, while also teaching online for JIU.
