In-School Deferment Form Certification
Students are responsible for contacting his/her lender(s) to obtain the necessary form. Each lender has a form, which often varies with the information required and a format based on their processing needs. Please complete the student section(s) on the lender's form. This typically includes personal information including the student name, address, account number or other identifier. Then submit the form to the JIU Office of the Registrar via fax at 303.784.8547 or by mailing the form to:

Enrollment/Degree Verification Request
Students in need of an Enrollment Verification letter for purposes other than loan deferment may submit his/her request to Registrar@international.edu. The verification will only include the student's enrollment status (full-time, half-time, etc.); program and area of study; the active term begin and end dates; and expected graduation date. The request must include contact and delivery information for where the completed letter needs to be sent.
Name Change Request
JIU students that are requesting a name change on their academic record will need to provide the following to the Office of the Registrar:
- A letter requesting the name change
- Current name on the academic record
- Name it should be changed to
- Social Security Number
- Letter must be signed and notarized by a Notary Public
The letter will need to be mailed via the U.S. Post Office. We will not accept a faxed copy or an email as an attachment.
